Laser intrusion detection system
Twittering shark laser intrusion detection system, in honor of Shark Week
From the blog post: "Most laser security systems rely on infrared sensors that detect changes in heat, based on a beam of light hitting the sensor. If that beam is interrupted, it’s interpreted as a change in the thermal profile on the sensor, and an alarm goes off." This proof-of-concept demonstration uses a BeagleBoard, Arduino, Light Sensor, Liquidware BeagleTouch and runs Android.
